A captured-carbon input can be a real technology programme without proving carbon-negative performance for every resulting pack. The assessment must distinguish avoided fossil feedstock, avoided emissions and durable carbon removal.
What to look for instead
Ask where the carbon comes from, what powers conversion, how much reaches the final pack and what happens at end of life. Use quantified impact language only across an explicit comparative boundary.
