Laura Schubert

Former Bain & Company consultant Laura Schubert co-founded Fur in 2014 with Lillian Tung — building the modern pubic-hair-care category and partnering with Goop, Sephora, and Target while staying independent and profitable.

"Body hair is not a problem to be eliminated. It's a category that deserved its own line."

Laura Schubert
Background

Schubert spent years at Bain & Company before co-founding Fur in 2014 with Lillian Tung. The brand pioneered the pubic-hair-care category with Fur Oil — a multi-use ingrown-prevention oil that became a Goop and Sephora hero.

Fur has grown into a multi-product line covering body-hair grooming and pubic skincare, and remains independent and profitable.

Philosophy

Build the category that didn't exist; don't compete in the one that does.

Independence > velocity.
