Helen Reavey

Northern Irish celebrity hairstylist Helen Reavey co-founded Act+Acre in 2019 with her partner Colm Mackin — building the world's first 'Cold Processed' scalp-health hair-care line and becoming the first Irish brand to launch in Sephora.

"Hair starts at the scalp — and most hair-care formulas heat-degrade their actives before they ever reach it."

Helen Reavey
Background

Reavey trained on Sam McKnight's backstage team and worked as a celebrity hairstylist for clients including Tilda Swinton, Alicia Keys and Harry Styles.

She co-founded Act+Acre in 2019 with her partner Colm Mackin. The two patented a Cold Processed manufacturing technique designed to preserve plant actives that conventional hot-process formulation degrades. In 2024 Act+Acre became the first brand from the island of Ireland to launch in Sephora.

Philosophy

Scalp first — hair second.

Cold-process formulation as a structural product advantage.
